Protesters Wipe Out Hasina’s Painted Image | Dhaka University

Over the years, images of Sheikh Hasina and Mujib have been prominently displayed across Bangladesh. From bridges and schools to hospitals and universities, the government has named numerous institutions after Mujib and Hasina, largely seen as an effort to glorify the regime and perpetuate Awami League propaganda.

Protesters at Dhaka University removed a painted portrait of Hasina from a column while chanting anti-fascist slogans.
